Bella Gaffney
2016 Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award winner Bella Gaffney hails from Bradford. She writes folk inspired songs
which she performs along with her own original arrangements of traditional pieces.
In 2018 she was one of the first recipients of a Friends of Towersey Festival Award for music developmental
support and opportunities. She has played at a great many folk and music festivals over the last few years,
including Celtic Connections, Beverley, HebCelt, ButeFest, Dent, Shrewsbury, Otley, Southwell, BAAFest,
& Filey to name just a few. 2017 saw the release of her solo album ‘Heaven Knows’ with Folkstock,
to great reviews.
Bella also performs with sought-after celtic/bluegrass band The Magpies with Holly Brandon &
Kate Griffin. In 2020 they released their debut album 'Tidings' to great reviews:
‘One of those effervescent albums you’d be happy to recommend to people who might not consider
themselves folk fans’ - The Sunday Times
‘Folk with finesse’ - The Daily Mail
Check that album out! Really good mix of songs and instrumentals - they’re great players!’ -
Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2
2019 saw The Magpies travel to Folk Alliance International in Montreal, on tour in Ireland and to Costa del Folk in
Portugal. They have played many esteemed festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival,

'Fire and Rain‘
‘Fire and Rain’ is not a tribute or sound-a-like act. It’s simply a collection of six of the best
musicians from the North of England coming together to play music they love.
Expect the classic James Taylor songs including ‘Steamroller Blues’, ‘Shower the People’, ‘Fire and Rain’
and many other classics played with skill, passion, emotion, humour and humility.
‘Fire and Rain’ are all highly regarded musicians in their own right and include
Tom Townsend (Lead Guitar and vocals), Rich Adams (Acoustic Guitar, vocals and triangle!)
and Mark Gordon (Keyboards) Rowan Oliver (percussion) with Paul Tilley (Drums) and Bob Walker (bass).
They occasionally put their own individual musical projects aside to perform the music they love and
inspired them to perform, and to bring the joy of James Taylor’s music to you in what
they call a ‘magical musical holiday’.
Building upon the success of the last few years, and having performed at various venues from
small intimate clubs to large theatre venues ‘Fire and Rain’ are delighted to be able to bring
this wonderful concert to the intimate surroundings of
The Live Lounge Croft Park Cafe and Bistro Little Weighton!
Join with them to celebrate with you the songs and music of the much loved iconic singer songwriter
James Taylor, from his earliest songs to his most recent material, in what will be
a memorable evening of first class entertainment.
Tickets are £15 each - supper is not included in the ticket price.
A pre - concert meal can be booked direct with the Croft Park on 01482 840600

Steve Jinski
Steve Jinski is a songwriter, singer, performer, musician, and music educator.
He has toured the UK, Ireland, Europe, and Scandinavia as a solo artist and as one half of the acclaimed acoustic duo
JINSKI. He has made numerous festival appearances and opened shows for David Gray, Richard Thompson,
Eddie Reader, The Proclaimers and most recently prog rock legend Rick Wakeman to name just a few. Radio and
TV appearances include BBC 1 The One Show.
Steve’s music is born of the singer songwriter tradition drawing on influences that include indie, acoustic,
blues and Americana, but still he retains his own unique voice. Playing ‘live’ Steve accompanies himself on
acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano. Added to the mix you’ll hear the occasional acapella tune, a wailing
harmonica, a couple of interesting cover versions, some tall tales and a positive vibe that will leave you
feeling so glad you came to see the show.
Steve’s solo EP ‘Hope Street’ (Lucky Smile Records/Proper Music Distribution) was released in 2021.
The record was co-produced by Steve and Dave Maughan whose previous credits include
Kathryn Williams Mercury Prize nominated album ‘Little Black Numbers’ and work with alt rockers Maximo Park.
This year, 2022 will see Steve touring the UK promoting the ‘Hope Street’ EP and a recent charity single
‘Good In The World’ the proceeds of which go to supporting Dry Water Arts Dementia Positive programmes
in the north east of England.
